Journeyman Manual Machinist – Highmark Mechanical

Highmark Mechanical is looking for an experienced Journeyman Machinist to join our fast-paced machine shop.

We specialize in hydraulic cylinder repairs and rebuilds, while also operating as a full-service jobber machine shop. Our work is varied, and we are looking for someone who is experienced, dependable, and comfortable working in a busy environment where turnaround time and quality are important.

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will be a Journeyman Machinist with strong manual machining skills. This position involves extensive hands-on work with manual lathes, mills, and other conventional machining equipment.

Experience with hydraulic cylinders is a solid asset, including machining and repair work associated with cylinder rods, barrels, glands, pistons, and related components.

Line boring experience is highly preferred and would be a major asset for the right candidate.





We are looking for someone who can work independently, problem-solve, accurately measure and inspect components, and keep jobs moving efficiently in a fast-paced shop.

Hours & Compensation

- Starting wage: $40.00/hour and up, based on experience
- Minimum 8-hour workday
- Regular hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Overtime after 8 hours
- Overtime on weekends
- Opportunity for additional hours
- There may be a possibility of living accommodations for the right candidate

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manual machinist who enjoys repair work, one-off machining, hydraulic work, and the variety that comes with working in a jobber shop.
