BjornBar Bakery is a warm and classy bakery known for our elevated nostalgic baking—from over 30 flavours of dessert bars to handcrafted pastries, lunch items, and artisan coffee.

We’re looking for a dedicated, motivated, and service-driven Shift Leader to join our team. This person will play a key role in supporting daily operations, providing exceptional customer experiences, and leading the FOH team in a fast-paced café and bakery environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and coordinate team members during your shift to ensure smooth, efficient operations
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and stepping in to resolve issues when needed
- Prepare and serve barista-quality espresso drinks, teas, and other alcoholic beverages with precision and care
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and ensure accurate cash handling and transactions
- Train, coach, and support new and current staff on bakery procedures, safety, and customer service standards
- Assist in product preparation, stocking, and packaging when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area, ensuring health and safety standards are met
- Communicate effectively with management and team to improve service flow and staff engagement

What We’re Looking For:





- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role in hospitality or food service
- Barista experience or a strong interest in learning (we can train the right person!)
- Bartending experience
- Positive, calm, and confident presence under pressure
- Great communication skills and the ability to foster a collaborative, respectful team environment
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to upholding food safety practices
- Weekend and holiday availability is essential
