Millwrights Local 1021 is accepting applications from qualified Millwright Journeypersons and registered Millwright Apprentices for industrial work in Saskatchewan.
Millwrights install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and service mechanical equipment used in industrial facilities and construction projects. Work may include manufacturing, mining, power generation and other industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial mechanical equipment.
- Perform mechanical maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Read and interpret drawings, manuals and technical information.
- Follow established safety procedures and site requirements.
- Work effectively with other trades and project teams.
- Maintain a high standard of quality and workmanship.
- Complete work safely, efficiently and according to project requirements.
Qualifications
- Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright certification or registered Millwright Apprentice status.
- Valid driver's license.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and a robust work ethic.
- Ability to perform hands-on mechanical work in an industrial environment.
Safety Certifications
The following certifications are considered an asset.
- Fall Protection
- Confined Space Entry
- Aerial Work Platform (AWP)
If you do not currently hold all required safety certifications, training resources may be available.
