Great Canadian Dollar Store has over 120 retail stores nationwide and we are looking for a Marketing Specialist join our team. This is a term position that will run until February 25, 2028. Working out of our head office located in beautiful Quispamsis, NB, you will bring your passion for marketing, your fresh ideas, and your strong background in social media campaigns and communication to help us continue to build and grow our brand across the country. Occasional overnight travel within Canada is a requirement for this position.

How You Will Make a Difference

· Create a brand strategy using advertising and marketing campaigns over multiple mediums, e.g. web, socials, and print.

· Grow and expand our social media presence on various platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.

· Create and distribute engaging written and graphics content in various formats such as e-newsletters, our website, blog content, and social media messages.

· Ensure brand consistency in all of our marketing and social media messages.

· Work closely with company and franchised stakeholders including our owner.

· Collect customer data, analyze interactions and visits, create compelling stories from the data to create marketing strategies and campaigns to drive more business.

· Provide regular and ad hoc reporting to our management team.

· Provide training and guidance to employees on social media implementation best practices and strategies.





· Travel to stores across Canada to better understand the local markets we serve.

Ideally you are a very self-starting, creative person with:

· Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience.

· Minimum 5 years of experience with social media management, online and print content creation, copywriting, web design, and marketing strategy.

· Very robust English written communication skills; excellent with grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.

· Analytical skills to pull stories from data and create recommendations relevant to the business.

· Very strong attention to detail.

· Creative problem solving skills.

· Knowledgeable about building a brand.
