Job Description:
G&B; Autocare is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Ford automotive repair and maintenance but also possess knowledge and skills across various other automotive brands. This position requires exceptional technical expertise, troubleshooting abilities, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Ford experience is considered an asset for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform automotive repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine and transmission diagnostics, brake repairs, electrical system inspections, and other general automotive services
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex automotive issues efficiently and accurately
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with customers
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment effectively to identify and resolve automotive problems
- Complete routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure their optimal performance and safety
Requirements:
- Journeyman certification or equivalent in automotive repair
- Experience working in an automotive repair shop environment
- Strong proficiency in engine diagnostics, brake systems, electrical systems, and general automotive repairs
- Excellent understanding of automotive technology and repair methods
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
