Monarch Structures is seeking a skilled and experienced In-Shop Fabricator to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who not only excels in fabrication but also has strong leadership skills to guide and mentor other fabricators. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our fabrication shop while ensuring quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Fabricate structural steel components according to blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Operate a variety of tools and machinery, including saws, welders, grinders, and torches.
- Ensure all projects are completed on time and meet Monarch’s high standards for quality.
- Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving in the shop as needed.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other fabricators in the team.
- Oversee workflow and collaborate with the shop supervisor to optimize productivity.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Inspect completed welds and fabrications to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects align with company goals.

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication.

· CWB cert and MCAW/FCAW. (TIG and Stick welding is an asset).

- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical documents.




- Strong leadership skills with experience overseeing a team in a fabrication setting.
- Proficiency in welding (MIG/TIG), cutting, and assembling steel components.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Commitment to safety and quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.
