The Bow Valley Athletic Club is a private members’ club in Calgary, dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for our members through outstanding service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a strong sense of community.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Membership Coordinator to join our team on a full-time (40 hours per week) basis.

About the Role

This is a varied position that combines bookkeeping responsibilities with member administration and customer service. You will play an key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Club while providing excellent service to our members.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and financial records

· Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

· Reconcile bank accounts and prepare financial reports

· Maintain accurate membership records and databases

· Process new memberships, renewals, and member enquiries

· Handle member billing and payments

· Provide administrative support to Club management

· Answer phone calls, emails, and greet members in a professional and friendly manner

· Assist with general office duties and special projects as required





What We’re Looking For

· Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience

· Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

· A positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude

Preferred (but Not Required)

· Experience using Club Automation

· Experience using Xero accounting software

Training will be provided for the right candidate.
