Assistant Manager – Food Truck

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to join our food truck team. The Assistant Manager will help oversee daily operations, support staff, provide excellent customer service, and ensure food quality and safety standards are consistently maintained.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, friendly, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting. This is a hands-on role where you will be expected to assist with food preparation, customer orders, staff supervision, and general food truck operations.

Responsibilities

- Assist the Manager with daily food truck operations
- Supervise and support employees during shifts
- Help train new team members and provide ongoing guidance
- Prepare food and assist with cooking and order assembly
- Ensure orders are accurate and completed in a timely manner
- Provide excellent customer service and handle customer concerns professionally
- Operate the POS system and accurately handle cash and card payments
- Monitor inventory and communicate when food or supplies need to be restocked
- Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensure food quality, portion sizes, and presentation meet company standards
- Assist with opening and closing the food truck
- Help manage breaks and daily staff responsibilities
- Assist with cleaning equipment and maintaining the food truck
- Support operations at festivals, catering events, and other special events
- Step in and assist wherever needed to keep the operation running smoothly

Qualifications

- Previous restaurant or food service experience
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills




- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to lead by example and work well with a team
- Comfortable handling cash and using a POS system
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Food safety certification is an asset
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry food, supplies, and equipment
- Ability to work in a small, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions when required

Pay: $50.00-$100.00 per day
