Data Scientist x2:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Data Scientist for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Markham office.

Data Scientist x2 - Job Description:
The project involves building a transaction monitoring system in Oracle to support recent project initiatives. The role includes both development and support aspects, focusing on enhancing data management solutions.

Data Scientist x2 - Responsibilities:

- Conduct all analytical activities related to AML transaction monitoring systems
- Work independently on analysis, design, and support of data management solutions
- Conduct data quality checks on Oracle and Azure platforms
- Engage in customer segmentation, scenario threshold setting, and model performance monitoring
- Maintain documentation for scenario review programs to meet audit and compliance requirements
- Execute quality control procedures and identify gaps in interim monitoring solutions
- Collaborate with business teams to provide insights and support business strategies





Data Scientist x2 - Mandatory Skills:

- Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL
- Advanced knowledge of query optimization, debugging, and automation
- Strong data exploration and analysis skills with large-scale datasets
- Ability to apply statistical techniques and data mining tools to solve business problems
- Strong knowledge of data-driven or data-centric projects
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Proven ability to work within large, collaborative teams

Data Scientist x2 – Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Experience with SAS, Informatica, Tableau, and other data analytics tools
- AML knowledge

Data Scientist x2 – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role.
