Synergy Protection Group Inc. is on the lookout for experienced and dedicated Security Guards to become a part of our dynamic, hardworking, and rapidly growing team in Ottawa, Ontario!

Positions: Casual/FT/PT

Requirements:

- 1 year of security experience A MUST
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Valid Full G Driver's License
- Must have access to a vehicle

Key Responsibilities:

- Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior
- Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
- Patrolling and monitoring designated areas
- Interacting with the public with a customer service approach to security
- Enforcing the Trespass to Property Act.
- Looking out for instances such as threatening, fraudulent, and rude behavior
- Escalating and assisting law enforcement as required
- Completing incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE – What you will bring?

- Valid Ontario Security License
- Minimum 1 years of security experience
- Ability to standing/walking for long periods of time (12 hour shifts)
- Ability to perform patrols by foot and respond to situations in a reasonable timeframe
- Ability to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance
- Excellent analytical and observational skills
- Ability to orient self/learn about the client site and services provided
- Comprehensive knowledge of common security policies and various related Acts, codes and legislation including the Criminal Code, the Trespass to Property Act,



the Fire Code and WHMIS
- Ability to react to and resolve emergency and crisis situations in a proper manner
- Demonstrated ability in preparing and maintaining clear, concise, and legible security reports and detailed records
- Highly developed interpersonal and customer-service skills, including conflict resolution, problem-solving, decision making, situational assessment and communication skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English
- Must pass a vulnerable sector background check.
