Join our vibrant educational team at Élan French (elanfrench.ca) as an Academic French Instructor, where your passion for language and teaching will inspire students of all ages to master French and explore its rich cultural heritage.

We are seeking two (2) French instructors who are available to teach 2 to 6 hours per week. Successful candidates will deliver French lessons through online videoconferencing / In-Person Class (In Markham and Richmond Hill)

Locations: City of Markham; Richmond Hill.

Instructor Responsibilities

- Represent Élan French in a professional manner.




- Teach French courses while supporting and guiding students toward achieving their academic goals and success.

Education, Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in French Education or a related field.
- Experience teaching at the preschool, elementary or high school level.
- Excellent oral and written French communication skills.
- Bilingual (students are English-speaking).

- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in teaching, training, or a related field.
- Robust French technical skills (Grammar, vocabulary)

Work Schedule (Available Class Times):

Monday to Friday

- 5:30 PM
- 7:00 PM
- 8:15 PM

Saturday

- 10:15 AM
- 11:30 AM
- 1:30 PM
- 2:45 PM

Compensation

- Starting hourly rate: $23.00 to $40.00 per hour, based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.

Selection Process

- Candidates will be required to complete a French language proficiency assessment, including grammar and vocabulary, as part of the selection process.
