Build a High-Performing Team at PartsEngine
PartsEngine is looking for an experienced Senior Tire Department Supervisor to lead our growing wheel and tire assembly operation in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, improving operations, and building an organized, high-performing department.
You'll work with modern equipment, support a skilled team, and play an important role in shaping the future of our warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Department Operations
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Tire & Wheel Department.
- Supervise, coach, train, and develop Tire Technicians and other assigned team members.
- Assign daily workloads and establish priorities based on order volume, inventory requirements, and operational needs.
- Monitor team productivity, quality, accuracy, attendance, and adherence to established procedures.
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, organization, and continuous improvement.
- Identify training needs and help team members develop their technical and operational skills.
- Ensure the department is appropriately organized and prepared for seasonal volume increases.
Wheel & Tire Assembly
- Oversee wheel and tire mounting, balancing, TPMS installation, and related assembly activities.
- Ensure completed assemblies meet PartsEngine's quality and safety standards before shipment.
- Monitor workmanship and help troubleshoot technical or fitment-related issues.
- Ensure proper handling of wheels, tires, TPMS components, and accessories to minimize damage and errors.
- Maintain an organized and efficient production workflow.
Inventory Management
- Take ownership of inventory accuracy and organization for wheels and tires within the department.
- Ensure incoming inventory is accurately received, identified, stored, and made available for customer orders.
- Monitor inventory movement and investigate discrepancies, missing inventory, damages, and other inventory-related issues.
- Support and oversee cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Maintain proper product locations and ensure inventory is stored safely and efficiently.
- Work with Purchasing, Warehouse, and other departments to address stock discrepancies and inventory concerns.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, storage utilization, and product flow.
Shipping, Receiving & Packaging
- Oversee the receiving and shipping processes for tires, wheels, and related products.
- Ensure inbound shipments are received accurately and discrepancies or damages are identified and reported promptly.
- Ensure customer orders are picked, assembled, packaged, and shipped accurately and on time.
- Oversee packaging standards for wheels and tires to reduce shipping damage and provide a positive customer experience.
- Monitor packaging material inventory and ensure adequate supplies are available to support daily operations.
- Coordinate with Warehouse and Shipping teams to manage priorities, carrier pickups, order volume, and seasonal demand.
- Help investigate shipping errors, damaged shipments, missing products, and other fulfillment issues.
Returns & Warranty
- Oversee the processing of wheel and tire returns, exchanges, damaged products, and warranty claims.
- Ensure returned products are inspected, documented, categorized, and processed accurately.
- Coordinate with Customer Service, Purchasing, suppliers, and other departments to resolve return and warranty issues.
- Ensure warranty claims and supporting documentation are completed accurately and followed through to resolution.
- Identify recurring product, packaging, shipping, or quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure returned inventory is appropriately returned to stock,
quarantined, sent to vendors, or otherwise dispositioned.
Safety, Equipment & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized department.
- Ensure team members follow workplace safety procedures and proper equipment operating practices.
- Help maintain tire machines, wheel balancers, tools, material-handling equipment, and other department equipment.
- Identify workflow bottlenecks, recurring errors, and opportunities to improve productivity and quality.
- Develop and reinforce standard operating procedures and best practices.
- Track operational issues and help implement practical solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.
- Work collaboratively with management to support the continued growth and development of PartsEngine's warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of wheel and tire industry experience.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mounting, balancing, TPMS, and wheel accessories.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.
- Positive leadership attitude with a focus on teamwork.

- Monday to Friday
- 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occasional Saturdays during peak season
