Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Gas Station Supervisor / Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of a gas station and convenience store in Burns Lake, British Columbia.

The successful candidate will assist with supervising employees, providing excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the gas station and convenience store.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate employees during assigned shifts.
- Assign duties and ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently.
- Provide training, guidance and support to employees.
- Assist with staff scheduling and shift coverage.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Address customer questions, concerns and complaints professionally.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process cash, debit and credit transactions.
- Monitor fuel pumps and assist customers with fuel-related concerns.
- Receive deliveries, stock merchandise and maintain proper product displays.
- Assist with inventory counts and monitor product levels.
- Handle lottery products and transactions according to company procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, sales floor and customer areas.
- Complete opening and closing procedures as required.
- Assist with cash reconciliation and daily deposit procedures.
- Follow and enforce company policies, workplace safety procedures and operational standards.
- Report equipment, maintenance and safety issues to management.




- Support the Store Manager with the day-to-day operation of the gas station.
- Act as the manager on duty when the Store Manager is unavailable.
- Perform other duties related to the operation of the gas station and convenience store.

Qualifications

- Completion of secondary school (high school) is required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a gas station, convenience store or retail environment is required.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is an asset.
- Experience operating a point-of-sale system and handling cash.
- Strong customer-service and communication skills.
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to supervise and work effectively with a team.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Reliable, punctual and responsible.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
