Entry-Level Shop Technician

About the Role

Paloma Pressure Control Canada Ltd. is looking for a dependable and hardworking Entry-Level Shop Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on shop position suited for someone who is mechanically inclined, willing to learn, and interested in building a career in the oilfield pressure control industry.We are looking for someone with a good attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to follow instructions, work safely, and support day-to-day shop operations.Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

- Clean, organize, and prepare equipment for shop and field use
- Assist with basic assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of pressure control equipment
- Wash, paint, grease, and prepare tools and components as required
- Help load, unload, move, and stage equipment in the shop and yard
- Assist senior technicians, supervisors, and other shop staff with daily tasks
- Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and quality requirements
- Use basic hand tools and shop equipment under supervision
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Report damaged equipment, missing parts, or safety concerns to a supervisor
- Complete basic paperwork or records as directed

Qualifications

- No trade ticket required
- Previous shop, labour, oilfield, mechanical,



or equipment experience is an asset, but not required
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working with hand tools and power tools
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded
- Able to perform physical work, including lifting, standing, bending, and working around heavy equipment
- Forklift experience is an asset, but not required
- Valid driver’s licence is considered an asset

Compensation

- Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications
- Entry-level wage range to be discussed during the interview process

Schedule

- Monday to Friday
- Day shift
- Occasional overtime as operationally required
