Part-Time Tutors & Teachers – All Subjects & Grades

WMC Canadian Academy – Hamilton to Newmarket, Ontario

WMC Canadian Academy is expanding our tutoring team and is looking for passionate, reliable, and qualified teachers and tutors to support students across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA), from Hamilton to Newmarket and surrounding communities.

We work with students of all ages and abilities, including both neurotypical and neurodivergent learners. We are looking for educators who can provide engaging, individualized instruction and help students build academic skills, confidence, and independence.

Positions Available

We are hiring tutors and teachers for:

- Elementary School – Grades 1–8
- High School – Grades 9–12
- University and College
- IB and AP programs
- ESL
- Math
- English
- Science
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- French
- History
- Geography
- Social Studies
- Computer Science
- Business
- Accounting
- Economics
- And other academic subjects

We are also actively looking for candidates with experience supporting neurodivergent students, including students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other learning needs.

Responsibilities

- Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring
- Deliver engaging and individualized lessons
- Support homework, assignments, projects, and exam preparation
- Develop strategies based on each student’s learning style and goals
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet different academic and learning needs
- Support students in developing confidence, organization, study skills, and independence
- For qualified candidates, provide educational support to neurodivergent learners




- Communicate professionally with families and the WMC Academy team
- Monitor and report student progress

Locations

We are looking for tutors throughout the area from Hamilton to Newmarket, including communities such as:

Hamilton • Burlington • Oakville • Mississauga • Brampton • Milton • Halton Region • Vaughan • Richmond Hill • Markham • Aurora • Newmarket • Toronto and surrounding areas

Tutoring may take place:

- In the student’s home
- At a local library or community location
- Online

Qualifications

We welcome applications from:

- OCT-certified teachers
- Certified teachers
- University and college graduates
- University/college students with strong academic backgrounds
- Experienced tutors
- Educational professionals
- Educational assistants
- Candidates with ABA or neurodivergent-support experience
- Subject-matter specialists

Requirements will vary depending on the subject and grade level.





Experience working with neurodivergent learners is an asset but is not required for all positions.
