Job Summary

Nordtek Trailers Inc. is looking for a dependable, hands-on individual to join our production team in a combined Parts Fabricator and Assembly role.

This position involves fabricating components used in our aluminum trailers and assisting with the assembly and installation of parts throughout the production process.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable using shop tools and equipment, and takes pride in producing accurate, quality work.

Key Responsibilities – Parts Fabrication

- Fabricate and prepare parts and components required for trailer production.
- Measure, mark, cut, drill, bend, and prepare materials according to drawings, measurements, or work instructions.
- Operate appropriate shop tools and fabrication equipment safely and accurately.
- Read and understand basic drawings, measurements, specifications, and work orders.
- Ensure fabricated parts meet required dimensions and quality standards.
- Identify defective materials or incorrectly fabricated components and report concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

Key Responsibilities – Assembly

- Assemble and install trailer components according to production requirements.
- Install hardware, brackets, decking components, accessories, electrical components, hydraulic components, and other trailer parts as required.
- Use hand tools, power tools, drills, impact tools, riveters, and other assembly equipment.
- Follow drawings, specifications, and work instructions to ensure components are installed correctly.
- Check fit, alignment, appearance, and function of installed components.

Qualifications & Skills





- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
- Ability to accurately use a tape measure and other basic measuring tools.
- Ability to read and understand basic drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a production team.
- Dependable, organized, and willing to take responsibility for assigned work.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, trailer assembly, automotive, construction, or a similar setting is an asset.
- Experience working with aluminum is an asset but not required.
- Forklift experience or certification is an asset.
