ABOUT INUVIALUIT REGIONAL CORPORATION (IRC)
Established in 1984 to manage the settlement outlined in the Inuvialuit Final Agreement (IFA), Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC) represents the collective interests of Inuvialuit. IRC’s goal is to continually improve the economic, social and cultural wellbeing of the Inuvialuit through implementation of the IFA and by all other available means. Through strong partnerships and community‑driven programs, the organization supports economic growth, cultural preservation and opportunities for current and future generations.
Inuvialuit beneficiaries directly control IRC and its subsidiaries through a democratic process of elected directors from each of the six community corporations with chairs at the IRC Board, a process originally outlined in the IFA.

The Mackenzie Hotel in Inuvik is part of the IRC Group of Companies and stands as a cornerstone of regional hospitality. JOB SUMMARY
The Mackenzie Hotel is seeking friendly, professional, and service-oriented individuals to join our team as Front Desk Agents. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience.
This position is responsible for guest check-in and check-out, handling reservations, addressing guest inquiries, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet guests warmly and professionally, providing prompt and courteous service at all times.
- Manage guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications using hotel management software.
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism and a problem-solving attitude.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure guest needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Uphold hotel policies, safety protocols, and service standards.
- Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a similar role or a background in hotel operations is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in using hotel management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of guest service and supporting a positive team environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
