Job Description

The Career Foundation is currently assisting one of our employer partners in the security industry with recruiting Event Security Guards for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2026.

This is an exciting prospect for licensed security professionals who are interested in gaining experience at one of Canada's premier entertainment events. Successful candidates will help provide a safe, secure, professional, and welcoming environment for festival guests, filmmakers, media, staff, VIPs, and other attendees.

This opportunity may be particularly suitable for candidates with strong customer service and communication skills who are comfortable working in a busy, high-profile event environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Perform surveillance and general security duties.
- Follow site protocols, procedures, and security requirements.
- Assist with de-escalating situations professionally when required.
- Use specialized security equipment as required.
- Work collaboratively with an experienced security team.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming presence when interacting with guests, staff, media, and other event attendees.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Previous security or customer service experience is considered an asset
