Safesidewalks Canada Inc. is looking for hardworking, dependable people to join our growing team as Sidewalk Repair Technicians.

We work with municipalities, property managers, and other organizations across Canada to inspect and repair sidewalks. Our technicians use specialized equipment and techniques to remove trip hazards and repair damaged concrete, helping make sidewalks safer for the people who use them every day.

You do not need previous concrete experience to apply. We provide paid training and teach you how to safely operate our equipment and perform the work to our standards.

What You'll Do

You'll work as part of a small field crew travelling to communities throughout Alberta and, depending on our project schedule, other parts of Canada.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Operating specialized concrete cutting and grinding equipment
- Removing sidewalk trip hazards and uneven concrete
- Performing various sidewalk and concrete repairs
- Measuring and documenting completed work
- Loading and unloading equipment
- Performing basic equipment maintenance
- Keeping tools and equipment clean and organized
- Completing daily safety and production documentation




- Working with your crew to meet daily production goals

Travel

Our work takes us to communities throughout Alberta and, depending on our project schedule, other parts of Canada.

Some projects require multi-day travel away from home.

When travelling for work:

- Company vehicles are provided
- Accommodation is provided
- A daily per diem is provided to technicians for out-of-town projects

You should be comfortable spending periods of time away from home when required.

For the right person, travelling with a crew can be one of the best parts of the job. You'll get to work in different communities, meet new people, and experience different parts of Alberta and Canada while working with your team.

Additional Opportunities Within

Safesidewalks operates as a seasonal company in Canada. Because our work is performed outdoors and involves concrete, Canadian winter conditions limit our ability to operate during the colder months.

However, that doesn't necessarily mean your opportunities with Safesidewalks end when the Canadian season does.

For our top-performing technicians, there may be opportunities to continue working during the winter with our sister companies in the United States or Australia.

Safesidewalks Canada also offers returning technicians a returning bonus at the beginning of the following season, as well as a base wage increase and position review.

Requirements

- Valid Canadian driver's licence
- Ability to safely operate, or learn to operate, company vehicles and equipment
- Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods
- Ability to travel for work
- Reliable transportation to our shop/work location
- Robust commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Pay: $26.00-$34.00 per hour
