Safety Check is hiring a Safety Specialist in the Halifax Area, to join our growing team

This position is a contract position 4-6 months in Halifax, that may turn into additional work

Duties Include:

- Inspect Workplaces: Check facilities, equipment, and practices for potential hazards
- Manage Compliance: Ensure the organization follows local and company safety regulations
- Investigate Incidents: Review accidents or near-misses to find root causes and prevent repeat issues.
- Deliver Coaching/Training: Educate workers on safety protocols and proper equipment use
- Develop Policies: Create safety guidelines, emergency response plans, and standard operating procedures
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to evaluate risks and interpret safety data.
- Communication:



Clear verbal and written skills to report findings to management and train staff.
- Leadership: Strong capability to lead safety drills and promote a secure work culture.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Contract length: 4-6 months

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Halifax, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
