At South Shore Ready Mix, we’re looking for a Batcher/Dispatcher to oversee concrete batching operations while ensuring smooth, on time deliveries. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in making customers happy.

This is a six-month role covering a team member’s leave, with an opportunity to stay on for the right person.

A Batcher/Dispatcher plays a key role in ensuring ready mix concrete is produced consistently and efficiently while coordinating timely deliveries. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Operating batching systems: managing computerized controls to ensure correct concrete mix proportions.
- Monitoring concrete quality: adjusting mix designs to meet customer specifications and compliance standards.
- Scheduling & dispatching deliveries: coordinating trucks to ensure efficient, on time service.
- Communicating with customers & teams: keeping clients informed on delivery schedules and adjustments.
- Tracking truck locations & optimizing routes
- Managing inventory & production records: ensuring materials are stocked and reports are accurate.
- Ensuring safety & compliance: following environmental, workplace, and DOT regulations.
- Troubleshooting on the fly: resolving issues that arise in batching or delivery operations.

What We’re Looking For:

- Experience in batching, dispatching, or concrete operations is a plus! Will train the right candidate.
- Tech savvy: comfortable with computers and potential dispatching software.
- Strong communication & problem solving skills: keeping things running smoothly under pressure.
- Highly organized & detail oriented: managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Team player with a customer first mindset: ensuring client satisfaction is key.
- Safety-conscious: committed to maintaining a secure and efficient work environment.
