Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Store Clerk to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist with sales transactions, and ensure the store operates smoothly. This role offers an opportunity to develop retail and sales skills in a dynamic environment, supporting both the store’s daily operations and customer satisfaction.
This shift is required to be available Fridays from 4 pm to 6 pm, and Saturdays 10 am - 4 pm.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with integrity
- Maintain merchandise displays through merchandising and product demos
- Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance sales opportunities
- Restock shelves and organize products to ensure an attractive store appearance
- Provide product information and technical sales support when needed
- Assist customers with inquiries via phone or in person using excellent communication skills.
- Make or return customer calls, answering questions, providing information, and taking messages
- Light product packaging duties may apply from time to time
- Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
- Manage time effectively to complete tasks efficiently during shifts
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette
- Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience in retail sales, merchandising, or cashiering preferred but not required
- Knowledge of technology sales or product demos is advantageous
- Ability to work well without supervision and manage time efficiently
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to upsell products effectively
- Friendly demeanor with strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Robust level of integrity and responsible, problem-solving attitude
