Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Manage patient records efficiently using Cleardent dental software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures,
answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with health regulations and safety standards
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and pediatrics is essential
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in customer service within a healthcare setting is advantageous
- Familiarity with dental equipment such as digital X-ray machines
