AEC Industrial Solutions designs and integrates world class Automation, Electrical & Control solutions for motor and pump controls. AEC has a committed well-trained staff dedicated to designing and providing custom solutions, and partners with top tier manufacturers of industrial automation and control equipment.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

· Build and assemble control and VFD panels

· Repair and maintenance of control and VFD panels

· Build, repair and maintain electric motor and pump packages

· Electrical and controls for motors and pump control systems

· Integrate, maintain, troubleshoot and commission automation, electrical and controls in oilfield, municipal, Industrial and agricultural industries

- Maintain, track, and organize job paperwork and material lists
- Provide service and maintenance reports
- Provide in office start-ups, commissioning, trouble shooting, maintenance and training
- On-call rotation
- Out of town work when required (majority of the position will be based in Red Deer, but service work across Western Canada and the USA as needed)

Competencies (skills, knowledge, experience)





· Must be a licensed electrician with interprovincial seal, or qualify as an apprentice electrician or electrical engineering technologist willing to apprentice

· Motor controls and/or VFD experience is highly desirable

· Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and networking experience is an asset

- Oilfield / Municipal / Industrial / Agricultural electrical experience is an asset
- Rigid conduit experience is an asset
- Must be able to lay out and work on electrical jobs without the use of blueprints
- Valid driver’s license with abstract required
- Must possess a clean safety record and be committed to safe work practices

· Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and display excellent attention to detail

· Motivated by challenges and innovation, and finding solutions to these challenges

· Excellent reasoning, troubleshooting, and deduction skills

· Work well in both an individual and team setting

· Solid communication skills, both oral and written

Pay: From $38.00 per hour
