Industrial Sanitation Associate – GMP Manufacturing

Express Guelph is recruiting on behalf of a local company for an Industrial Sanitation Associate to join a busy GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.

Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay: $18.00/hour
Position Type: Evaluation-to-Hire with long-term potential

What You'll Do:

- Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of manufacturing, warehouse, production, and common areas according to GMP requirements, SOPs, and sanitation schedules.
- Clean and sanitize floors, walls, equipment, drains, production workstations, loading docks, washrooms, offices, lockers, and other facility areas.
- Complete deep-cleaning duties and assist production teams with changeovers and workstation cleaning.
- Remove and dispose of waste and replenish soap, sanitizer, paper towels, and required PPE.
- Operate equipment including electric pallet jacks, power washers, steam cleaners, floor scrubbers, vacuums, and man lifts as required.
- Complete sanitation documentation and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Support Production and Quality teams while maintaining strict food safety, sanitation, and GMP standards.

What We're Looking For:

- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing sanitation experience preferred; food or pharmaceutical experience is an asset.
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment is an asset.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete sanitation documentation.
- Ability to read and follow SOPs, safety procedures, and chemical/MSDS information.




- Strong teamwork and communication skills with a positive, "can-do" attitude.
- Experience operating powered industrial equipment such as floor scrubbers, electric pallet jacks, or man lifts is an asset.
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, reach, and lift up to 60 lbs.

Important Environment & PPE Requirements:

- This is a GMP manufacturing environment where strict sanitation, cleanliness, and documentation standards must be followed.
- Employees are required to properly use and maintain PPE as directed, which may include gloves, eye protection, dust masks, hearing protection, and other required protective equipment.
- Must be comfortable working around airborne particles, herbal aromas, cleaning chemicals, and varying noise levels.
- Must be able to consistently follow GMP, SOP, safety, and sanitation procedures.

Transportation:

- The facility is not directly accessible by public transit, so reliable personal transportation is strongly preferred to ensure you can consistently arrive for the 7:00 AM start time.
