Responsibilities
- Design and deliver age-appropriate lessons that align with curriculum standards, emphasizing core subjects such as math and early childhood education
- Foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and respect among students
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning needs
- Utilize learning management systems (LMS) to organize materials, track attendance, and communicate with students and parents effectively
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and special education requirements
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans,
student assessments, and classroom activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in educational or tutoring settings, preferably with classroom experience in early childhood education or similar environments
- Strong knowledge of math instruction and teaching methodologies suitable for young learners
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey concepts and engage students actively
- Ability to proofread and review educational materials for accuracy and clarity
- Familiarity with LMS platforms for managing coursework and student information
- Experience supporting students with special education needs is highly desirable
- Demonstrated passion for teaching, patience, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
