Northern Spirit Transportation is hiring a dependable, safety‑driven professional to join our team in Mackenzie. This is a full‑time rotational position responsible for transporting workers to and from remote job sites on a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule.
Position Overview
The driver will operate a crew bus on forestry and industrial roads in a variety of weather and road conditions. We’re looking for someone who is confident behind the wheel in remote areas, communicates well, and maintains a calm, professional presence with passengers.

Primary Duties
- Transport passengers safely while following all traffic laws and site rules
- Maintain a positive, professional atmosphere on the bus
- Complete required pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
- Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and in proper working condition
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, passengers, and team members
- Report delays, incidents, or mechanical issues promptly
- Respond appropriately in emergency situations and assist with evacuations
- Operate two‑way radios and emergency communication devices (SPOT, ZOLEO)
- Follow all PHO guidelines and client/company procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of commercial or professional driving experience
- Class 1 or 2 licence with air brake endorsement
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new technology
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset
- Experience driving on forestry service roads and in variable conditions
