Duties

- Provide friendly and attentive customer service, taking orders and answering inquiries with enthusiasm
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages, including coffee as a barista, snacks, and light meals
- Handle cash and card payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and math accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including food preparation zones
- Assist with food handling and safety procedures to meet health regulations
- Support food preparation tasks such as assembling orders, stocking supplies,



and ensuring quality standards are met

Skills

- Proven experience in food service or hospitality environments
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling, change calculation, and order accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Manage opening, closing, or daily cafe routines as required.

Hungry Goose Cafe is looking for a reliable, friendly, and dedicated part-time Cafe Attendant / Barista to help run our small campus cafe in Milton.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys working in a cafe workplace, is comfortable working independently, and can provide warm, friendly service to students, faculty, and staff. The ideal candidate is responsible, organized, and able to manage daily cafe tasks with confidence.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
