The Role

The Law Clerk will play an integral role in managing personal injury files and supporting lawyers throughout the litigation process. Responsibilities include:

- Managing files from intake through to trial
- Preparing correspondence, legal documentation, reports, and court materials
- Assisting with the preparation of trials, hearings, discoveries, and examinations
- Preparing and maintaining undertakings lists and following up on productions and outstanding undertakings
- Maintaining calendars, bring-forward systems, deadlines, and key timelines
- Acting as a liaison between clients, opposing counsel, and other third parties
- Preparing and typing court documents and pleadings
- Drafting legal documents, including Affidavits of Documents, Motions, Notices of Examination, Trial Records, and Dismissal Orders
- Preparing medical briefs and organizing supporting documentation
- Tracking deadlines and ensuring all work is completed accurately and within established timeframes
- Providing additional administrative and file management support as required

Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:

- A Law Clerk Diploma from a recognized college
- Ideally,



2–5 years of experience working as a Law Clerk in personal injury law or insurance defense
- Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure, court practices, and procedures
- Experience managing litigation files from intake through to trial

- The ability to effectively prioritize competing deadlines in a quick-paced environment
- The ability to remain calm, organized, and professional under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and pleasantly with colleagues, clients, opposing counsel, and other third parties
- A high degree of initiative, reliability, and accountability
- A willingness to take full ownership of assigned work and responsibilities

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Experience:

- legal assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- personal injury law: 1 year (preferred)
