We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Osteopath to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive osteopathic care to patients, utilizing manual therapy techniques to improve mobility, relieve pain, and promote overall well-being. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their medical history, symptoms, and treatment goals
- Develop and implement individualized osteopathic treatment plans using manual therapy techniques such as soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilization, and stretching
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly to optimize outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including nurses, physiotherapists, and physicians to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate case management records, documenting treatments, progress notes, and patient interactions with attention to detail
- Educate patients on self-care practices, ergonomic adjustments, and lifestyle modifications to support ongoing health improvements
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and uphold the highest standards of patient safety and confidentiality
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Word processing tools for documentation and communication purposes
- Fluency in French or multilingual capabilities to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Experience working in hospital settings with acute care exposure and pediatrics is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to osteopathy and general healthcare practices
- Excellent communication skills for clear patient explanations and team collaboration
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for understanding musculoskeletal issues and treatment techniques
- Background in nursing or related healthcare fields enhances clinical insight and patient care delivery
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently
- Effective time management skills to prioritize patient appointments and administrative duties
- Analytical skills for assessing complex cases and developing tailored treatment strategies
