Support Worker

Passionate about providing compassionate care? Join our team as a Support Worker and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young adults aged 2-17.

This position offers 24-hour respite care for one or two weekends per month in a host home, based on families' needs.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and a spacious home and vehicle that can accommodate a wheelchair.

Experience With Feeding Tubes Is Also Required.

Responsibilities

- Provide respite care and support with daily activities
- Administer medications as instructed
- Prepare meals meeting dietary needs
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and G-tubes
- Offer companionship and plan engaging activities
- Perform light housekeeping

Qualifications

- Experience in caregiving
- Knowledge of medication procedures
- Physical ability to lift and assist
- Robust communication and caring attitude
- Confidentiality commitment

Requirements

- Valid First Aid
- Recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- CFS Intervention Check
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
