We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced SALES REPRESENTATIVE to join our team. As an Outside Sales Representative you will play a key role in driving the company’s sales growth by building relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities and closing deals. You will be responsible for visiting prospective and existing customers, understanding their needs, presenting our products and services and providing customized solutions specific to their business objectives.

Key responsibilities

- Maintain and increase advertising revenues for all The Free Press products including R.O.P., Digital, Special Features and non-traditional print products.
- Maintain daily customer contact by personal visits, email, and telephone.
- Work with the Creative Services Department to create and design advertising campaign layouts and strategies.
- Prepare customized sales presentations.
- Service customer accounts, resolving problems with credit, billing, ad placement, production, quality, etc.
- Conduct all transactions in a professional manner, with integrity.
- Perform weekly, monthly and yearly account revenue analysis.




- Attend client functions as required.

Qualifications

- 3 – 5 years of experience of advertising sales experience or relevant skills.
- Knowledge of print and digital advertising, proficiency in social media considered an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Post-Secondary education in Marketing/Sales or equivalent work experience.
- A track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a fast-paced team setting.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues and maintain positive relationships.
- Strong computer skills and experience with a CRM system.
- The ability to work in a team environment and thrive in a busy, high-energy workplace.
- Valid driver’s license
