Hi my name is David Atwood along with The Story Of Madrika Team are putting on a musical(reading) event in Victoria B.C. at the Roxy theatre. We are looking for ten actors/singers (male/female) to audition for various roles immediately between September 1st and 9th of this month.We need these roles filled immediately as the live peformance is on Oct 9/10.Please send me your updated cv and headshots ASAP to [email protected], looking forward to hearing from you

- Perform lead and supporting roles in musical productions, delivering energetic and compelling performances that captivate audiences.
- Sing solo and ensemble pieces with clarity, emotion, and technical precision, ensuring each note resonates with viewers.
- Collaborate closely with directors, choreographers, costume designers, and fellow cast members to bring the production vision to life.
- Participate in rehearsals, vocal coaching sessions, and stage blocking to perfect timing, movement, and character development.
- Maintain professionalism on stage and behind the scenes, adhering to production schedules and performance standards.
- Engage with audiences during meet-and-greet events or post-show activities when applicable.




- Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting fellow performers and staff throughout the production process.

Requirements

- Proven experience in acting and singing within musical theater or related performance arts.
- Solid communication skills to convey emotion through voice and physical expression effectively.
- Excellent public speaking abilities to engage diverse audiences confidently during performances or promotional events.
- Ability to interpret scripts, lyrics, and choreography accurately while maintaining energy and stage presence.
- Teaching experience or coaching skills are a plus for performers involved in educational outreach or workshops.
- Writing skills beneficial for promotional materials or program content creation.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and multiple performances as scheduled; stamina for physically demanding stage work.
