This is to fill a permanent, full time (75 hour bi-weekly) position.

Who we are The French Language Services Directorate (FLSD) is dedicated to supporting and empowering departments to serve and inform Yukoners in French. We foster strong partnerships with other departments and stakeholders, provide strategic advice rooted in language policy and planning, and offer centralized services such as translation and language training.

The opportunity The French Language Services Directorate is looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented skilled to provide a full range of financial, program, and senior administrative support to the Deputy Minister, Director, program managers and other department staff.

Reporting to the Director, this position plays a key role as the administrative liaison between the Directorate and the offices of the Minister and the Deputy Minister.

The Administrative Coordinator also supports the Manager, Finance and Administration with the coordination and preparation of financial reports, budget forecasts, variance analyses, and other financial documents. The position provides advice and support to staff on financial procedures and procurement, processes a variety of financial transactions, monitors contracts and funding agreements,



and supports financial practices and procedures that enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.

Essential Qualifications

- Completion of post-secondary coursework in office administration,



business administration, or another related field.
- Experience providing administrative/coordination support in an office environment, including but not limited to managing correspondence and confidential documents, coordinating casework and events, scheduling, and taking meeting minutes.
- Experience providing financial support services.
- Experience interpreting and applying financial policies and procedures.
- Experience providing advice or guidance regarding financial procedures and processes.
- Experience managing paper and electronic filing systems.

Assets

- Bilingual, English and French

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
