We have left our mark through projects such as the restoration of the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth Hotel, the rehabilitation of the West Block on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, the reconstruction of the Voltigeurs de Québec Armoury in Quebec City, the Complexe 4 Glaces in Gatineau, and the New Courthouse Complex in Old Montreal.

We have a deep understanding of historic building systems, conservation methodologies and technologies, best practices, design considerations, community sensitivities associated with heritage assets, and the cultural significance of the built environment. Our design approach promotes sustainable development by extending the life of existing buildings, reducing the environmental impacts associated with demolition and new construction, and preserving the cultural narratives embedded in historic places. Beyond project delivery, the Heritage sector enriches our practice through research, innovation, and knowledge sharing. Degree in Architecture with eligibility for professional licensure in Québec. ~Recognized expertise in heritage conservation, restoration, or rehabilitation is considered a strong asset. ~ A functional level of English is required, as the successful candidate will be expected to work on initiatives outside Québec, collaborate with colleagues across Canada, and participate in communications and project work conducted in English. In this role, you will also develop client retention strategies,



ensure project goals are achieved, and leverage regional successes at both the regional and national levels to strengthen and expand the Heritage sector. Lead the development and management of the Québec Heritage Sector's revenue generation and project development activities in support of Architecture49’s annual financial objectives and growth targets.

Lead the development of backlog and net revenue forecasts to support business development initiatives and long-term growth strategies. Provide professional architectural seal on drawings and contract documents for projects where you serve as the supervising architect. Develop and advance the Heritage Practice in Québec while serving as a recognized thought leader on behalf of Architecture49.

Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term client relationships while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Support capacity building, training, mentorship, and professional development of Architecture49’s regional heritage resources. Foster knowledge sharing and succession planning to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of the Heritage sector.

Operational

Excellence & Project Quality Review and analyze monthly operational metrics including team utilization, project performance, revenue and profitability, backlog, business development initiatives, invoicing, work in progress, accounts receivable, overhead management, client satisfaction, and overall quality of deliverables. Lead major Heritage projects as required and provide professional architectural oversight. Contribute to the leadership and ongoing development of the Architecture49 Montréal office.

QC: $119,900 - $159,200 Disclosure: The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
