Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Asset Protection Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing insurance renewals, cancellations , vehicle loss claims, maintaining accurate records of all insurance transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively with clients and follow up consistently will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
Insurance renewal and re-instatement
· Record and upload all insurance policies, cancelations, and renewals in the leasing software (LPM) and the clients file.
· Review all policies for accurate insurance information and requirements.
· Notify clients promptly of insurance cancelations via email; if unavailable, conduct follow-up calls and/or send regular mail notification.
· Ensure clients are contacted prior to insurance expiry for renewal notice.
· Review CGI site for BC renewals and update LPM
· Escalate any uninsured vehicle to management immediately.
· Assist with the coordination of the vehicle seizure for any uninsured vehicles
· Maintain accurate and detailed records of all communications in LPM
· Prepare weekly status reports for management
Total Loss Claims
· Establish communication with claims adjuster and client
· Review settlement offers for correct vehicle, options, mileage, and evaluation.
· Coordinate with client regarding the acceptance of final offer, collection of deductible, and any amounts owing.
· Ensure any documents required by the insurance adjuster are provided in a timely manner.
· Follow up with claims adjuster and client consistently until the settlement cheque is issued
· Coordinate payment to client for positive equity claims
· Upload any documents regarding the loss claim to the clients file and ensure all communication is recorded in LPM
Customer Service & Communication
· Promptly respond to customer inquiries related to insurance requirements
· Maintain professional, clear, and courteous communication with clients and internal departments.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience with automotive insurance requirements an asset
· Solid organizational and time-management skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general office software.
