Role Description The Assistant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB, supporting daily restaurant operations and ensuring an excellent guest experience. This position assists with supervising front of house and back of house teams, monitoring service standards, and addressing guest concerns in a professional and timely manner.

An Assistant

Manager helps oversee scheduling, shift coverage, and labor management, while supporting inventory control, ordering, and cost management. The role also involves coaching and training team members, reinforcing company policies, and promoting a safe, inclusive, and respectful work environment. In addition,



the Assistant Manager collaborates with the General Manager on local marketing initiatives, revenue-building strategies, and maintaining a clean, well-presented restaurant.

Qualifications

- Experience in restaurant or hospitality management, including supervising staff and supporting day-to-day operations.
- Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to handle guest feedback calmly and professionally.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including experience with scheduling, inventory, and basic cost control.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and coach diverse team members.
- Knowledge of food safety, health, and safety regulations, and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, on-site restaurant setting with flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous leadership experience in a casual dining or similar environment is an asset; post-secondary education in hospitality or business is beneficial.
- Eligibility to work in Canada and reliable transportation to the Calgary, AB location.
