Location: Brentwood, Burnaby (In-Home)

Compensation: $25/hour

Schedule: Full-time (~8 hours/day), with reduced seasonal hours during the summer and winter.

About the Role

I am looking for a trustworthy, caring, and multifaceted assistant to primarily provide dedicated care for my dog, Buns, while also helping manage my household. Buns is being discharged from the vet this week and requires close monitoring, medication, and a calm setting.

While dog care is the absolute priority, this role incorporates meal prepping, light housekeeping, and occasional errands. Because there is downtime between tasks and monitoring, this position is incredibly student-friendly—you are more than welcome to do your homework or study while keeping an eye on Buns.

Key Responsibilities

Dog Care (Primary Focus)

Medical Monitoring: Be on active seizure watch and closely monitor his overall condition for any signs of distress.

Medication Administration

Give him his required medications (currently estimated at 4 times a day, exact schedule TBD upon discharge).

Companionship: Feed him, keep him comfortable, and provide a loving presence.

Vet Transportation: Drive Buns to his vet clinic (just 5 minutes away) for check-ups or emergencies. A spare car will be provided for you to use for these trips.





Household & Assistant Duties:

Meal Prepping: Prepare meals for me (and you are welcome to meal prep for yourself at the same time!).

Light Housekeeping: Keep the condo tidy and maintain a clean environment.

Errands: Run basic day-to-day errands, bringing Buns along with you.

Light Admin Support: Provide occasional help with my business (roughly one hour every so often as needed, as I already have a dedicated virtual assistant).

Requirements

A genuine love for dogs and a deeply compassionate, attentive personality.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and confidence driving the provided car carefully.

Reliable, highly organized, and able to multitask without losing focus on Buns's health.

Comfortable working in a private residence.
