Role Description The Assistant Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Langley, BC. This role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of tent and fabric structure projects from concept through delivery, working closely with engineering, production, and project management teams. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with project design and engineering calculations, preparing technical documentation and drawings, tracking project schedules and milestones, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure quality standards and customer requirements are met.

Engineer contributes to troubleshooting technical issues,



reviewing specifications, and supporting site preparation or installation guidelines. This position also involves communicating project status to stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, and helping improve processes and efficiency within the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineering, production, sales, and external stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Project Management and Project Planning skills to assist in organizing timelines, resources, and deliverables across multiple projects.
- Candidates should possess Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills to support design reviews, calculations, and technical problem-solving for fabric structures and related systems.
- Candidates should possess analytical and technical skills, including proficiency with CAD or similar design software, and the ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
- Relevant post-secondary education in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline) or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment are beneficial.
- Experience in structural, fabric, or construction-related projects, as well as familiarity with applicable standards and safety practices, is an asset.
