A respected BC regulatory body is looking for a corporate commercial lawyer to step in as Associate General Counsel for a 12-month contract.

The role:

This is a broad, senior in-house mandate. You will be advising across the full corporate legal function - contracts, procurement, governance, privacy, HR, and board-level strategy. No two weeks look the same and the work carries real complexity and variety.

What you will be working on:

- Major vendor contract negotiations
- Privacy law and FOIPPA compliance
- Corporate governance and board committee advice
- MOU negotiations with other regulatory bodies
- HR matters including employment agreements and sensitive terminations
- Strategic legal advice to senior leadership
