Pay: Starting at $110,000, commission-based, but an experience-based salary or payment arrangement can be discussed.
We are seeking an associate suited to working in a team environment, with a minimum of two years of experience. Our ideal candidate has appeared at different levels of court and various types of hearings.
Responsibilities:
- Representation of clients at all levels of Court across Alberta. This encompasses:
- Legal research.
- Drafting, reviewing, and filing of legal documents.
- Maintenance of files.
- Providing legal advice in all matters related to family law.
- Representation of clients in an ethical, professional manner.
- Ongoing career development.
- Collaboration with the partners and other associates in the carriage of files.
Requirements and Preferences:
- Juris Doctor or equivalent degree from an accredited law school or Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation.
- Must be an active member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Robust negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Additional years of experience are a considerable asset.
- At least two independent references must be provided.
