Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Assemble and install automated gate operators and related equipment.
- Perform low-voltage wiring and electrical connections for gate automation systems.
- Service, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain automated gate operators and related equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Determine installation layouts and procedures, including measuring and marking guidelines for automation equipment.
- Load and unload tools, materials, supplies, and equipment as required.
- Perform digging, trenching, excavation, and post-setting related to gate automation installations.
- Install and configure intercoms, cameras, keypads, wireless devices,



and other access-control equipment.
- Ensure installations are completed safely, accurately, and according to project requirements.
- Work collaboratively with team members on installation and service projects.

Qualifications:

- 1–3 years of experience with access control systems, security systems, or garage door installation is considered an asset.
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Previous construction experience is preferred.
- Welding and fabrication experience is an asset.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good time-management and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and work requirements.
- Must be able to provide a satisfactory criminal background check.

Working Conditions

- Outdoor Environment, subject to inclement weather conditions
- Able to work extended hours during busy season
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs

Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour
