How does the role impact the organization?

The AVP, Wealth Planning & Tax Consulting is a senior member of the Wealth Solutions team responsible for delivering sophisticated, client-centered wealth planning support to advisory teams and their clients. The role focuses on high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth Canadian families, clients with multi-jurisdictional considerations, business owners, and individuals experiencing significant monetization, liquidity or wealth-transfer events. The AVP also provides selected functional oversight to members of the Wealth Planning team, including guidance on planning quality, best practices and thought leadership.

What will your role be responsible for?

- Deliver comprehensive financial, retirement, tax, estate and succession planning services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients of Raymond James Financial Advisors.
- Participate in client discovery, strategy and plan-delivery meetings, and facilitate client education sessions when required.
- Identify planning opportunities and recommend practical, goals-based strategies that address client needs and deepen relationships.
- Collaborate with Insurance Solutions, Estate & Trust Solutions and Charitable Giving to develop coordinated wealth strategies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and advocate for tax and financial planning across Wealth Solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to Wealth Planning team members, promote consistent planning practices and share knowledge across the team.
- Encourage and support Financial Advisors in integrating tax and financial planning into their practices.
- Develop and deliver thought leadership, presentations, seminars and educational content on tax and financial planning topics.
- Cultivate productive relationships with advisory teams, internal partners and centres of influence.
- Track and report planning activity, client outcomes and business opportunities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain current technical knowledge and participate in team learning,



professional development and compliance activities.
- Contribute to team priorities, service standards and performance objectives.

What do we expect from you?

- More than 10 years of relevant experience in tax, financial, estate, insurance and/or succession planning, including significant client-facing experience in wealth management or tax practice.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex, integrated planning strategies for high-net-worth clients.
- Extensive knowledge of Canadian financial planning principles and their practical application.
- University degree in business, finance, accounting or a related discipline.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Recognized financial planning designation, such as CFP, R.F.P., F.Pl. for Quebec, or an equivalent credential.
- Completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program, Levels I and II, or a Master of Taxation is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of U.S. financial planning is an asset.
- Professional proficiency in French is an asset.

Additional Accreditations Considered as Asset

- Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP).
- Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA).

- Ability to collaborate effectively with Financial Advisors, internal specialists and clients’ external tax and legal advisors.
- Strong organization, time management, prioritization and attention to detail in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to work independently, exercise initiative and contribute effectively within a team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and to representing the Raymond James brand with professionalism.

- Occasional travel may be required.

Salary Range: $140,000 - 160,000 annually, in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, internal equity, and other job requirements.
