AWS Architect

Location: Markham, ON L6G 0G1

Work Arrangement: Hybrid 3 days/week in office (Monday Wednesday)

Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract

Salary: CAD $140K $150K

Contract Rate: CAD 55/hr C2C

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS Architect to design, implement, and operate enterprise AWS environments while working within established cloud governance and managed-services frameworks.

Required Skills

- 12+ years of IT infrastructure experience, including 6+ years of hands-on AWS architecture and operations.
- Solid expertise in AWS VPC, EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, IAM, EventBridge, CloudWatch, and Backup/DR .
- Strong Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience, including modules, state management, and CI/CD deployments.
- Experience with Azure DevOps/GitHub, ServiceNow, CAB, and change management .
- Knowledge of enterprise observability tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Instana,



and CloudWatch .
- Experience working within enterprise Landing Zones, Control Tower, and IAM governance .
- Strong understanding of hybrid cloud environments and coordination with on-premises/middleware teams.
- AWS Professional certification ( Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional ) strongly preferred.

Nice to Have

- BFSI/Insurance industry experience.
- Exposure to WMB, JBoss Fuse, ActiveMQ, DataPower, Spring Boot , and batch scheduling.
- Managed services, transition, steady-state operations, and multi-vendor delivery experience.
