Azure Data Engineer (API)

Location: Toronto, Ontario – Hybrid

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Databricks, Business Intelligence, Python, and API development . The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable data solutions, developing APIs using Python, and supporting data integration and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks .
- Develop and maintain Python-based APIs for data integration and application connectivity.
- Build and optimize data processing, transformation, and integration solutions.
- Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Work with Azure services to support data engineering and reporting requirements.
- Ensure data quality, performance, reliability, and scalability.




- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks .
- Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) and data analytics.
- Strong programming experience in Python .
- Proven experience building and consuming REST APIs using Python .
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and data integration.
- Positive understanding of Azure cloud and data engineering concepts.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) .
- Knowledge of PySpark and SQL .
- Experience with Power BI or other BI/reporting tools.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
