About C Market Coffee

C Market Coffee is an creative boutique roastery café serving specialty coffee alongside fresh, high-quality food and baked goods.

We are hiring for two positions at our recent location near Burrard Station, opening in October:

- Baker
- Barista / Café All-Rounder

We welcome both experienced and entry-level applicants. Training will be provided. We are looking for friendly, dependable, and motivated team members who are excited to help set up, organize, and grow a new café from the beginning. Important Pre-Opening Information The new location is not yet open. Interviews and pre-opening training will take place at our existing Main Street or Coquitlam location.

During the 2–3 weeks of pre-opening training, you may be required to commute to either location. Please apply only if this temporary training arrangement works for you.

Position 1: Baker

Schedule: Full-time or Part-time

Start Time: 4:00 AM or 5:00 AM

Responsibilities

- Prepare and bake breads, pastries, and desserts according to established recipes.
- Maintain consistent product quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Keep the kitchen, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all hygiene and food-safety standards.
- Monitor ingredients and inventory levels.
- Assist with seasonal products and new menu development.
- Help set up and organize the new kitchen before opening.

Qualifications
- Previous baking or kitchen experience is an asset but not required.
- Able to begin shifts at 4:00 AM or 5:00 AM.
- Able to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail, consistency, and presentation.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Position 2: Barista / Café All-Rounder Schedule: Full-time or Part-time with flexible availability

Responsibilities

- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.




- Take orders using the POS system and recommend menu items.
- Process cash, debit, and credit card payments accurately.
- Prepare and serve beverages and food according to company standards.
- Keep the café, seating area, and workstations clean and inviting.
- Restock coffee, tea, paper products, and other supplies.
- Assist with opening, closing, and general café operations.
- Help set up and organize the new store before opening.

Qualifications
- Fluent in English.
- Barista or customer service experience is an asset but not required.
- Food Secure Level 1 and Serving It Right certifications.
- Able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability.
- Friendly, positive, and comfortable working with customers.

General Requirements
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Dependable, organized, and attentive to cleanliness.
- Willing to participate in setting up and preparing the new store.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
- Able to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
