We've built a reputation for exceptional quality, service, and selection. Our bakery operation is expanding, and we are looking to add to our diverse & highly skilled team.

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled, reliable baker to join our scratch bakery team — someone who takes pride in accurate, consistent execution and can help us keep pace with a high-volume, made-from-scratch operation.

What You'll Do

- Execute recipes accurately and consistently, following CRAVE's established formulas and processes.
- Prepare, measure, and weigh ingredients for daily production.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety throughout the bakery.
- Label, package, and handle product selection for display and orders.
- Follow product presentation guidelines.
- Keep your own dishes and equipment clean throughout the shift.
- Support order receiving and coordinate special/custom orders as needed.
- Assist customers with custom cake orders as skills allow.

What We're Looking For

Required:

- Able to follow recipes accurately and independently.




- Comfortable with the full range of baking tasks — measuring, weighing, and preparing ingredients to recipe specification.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Willing to work early mornings.
- Able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Positive attitude that promotes teamwork.
- Effective communicator, both with the bakery team and other departments.
- Food Handler Certificate (Food Safe, SafeCheck, or equivalent) required or willing to obtain.

Nice to Have:

- Cake decorating experience — seen as a strong advantage, not a requirement
- Previous commercial bakery experience.
- Previous role with recipe development experience.
- Red Seal certification/culinary school is an asset.

Compensation & Job Details

- Pay: $20.00 – $27.00 / hour
- Job Type: Full-time (36–40 hours / week)
- Schedule: Early morning, day shift, weekend availability required.
- Kingston, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
