Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Baker to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a variety of delicious pastries, desserts, and baked goods that meet our high standards for quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and baking, with a keen eye for detail and a dedication to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

This position offers an exciting chance to showcase your culinary skills in a dynamic environment dedicated to excellence in the food industry. This shift starts at 8 am and goes till 4 pm Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries with creative designs using cake decorating techniques
- Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed to maintain hygiene standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks including mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients
- Package baked goods attractively for retail display or customer takeout orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and kitchen area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and delivery of products




- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when needed

Skills

- Proven experience in cake decorating and pastry arts preferred
- Strong background in food preparation, baking, and cooking within a restaurant or bakery setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen workplace while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in food packaging and presentation techniques
- Kitchen experience within the food industry is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food industry regulations and best practices for hygiene and safety

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
