We are looking for a Business Development Manager who is ambitious, ready to step outside the box, and become a key member of our firm. The ideal BDM is open-minded and willing to buy in to the values of our mission statement to Educate, Protect & Expedite.

Position: Business Development Manager - Legal Services

Compensation: $50,000-$60,000 plus competitive commissions of up to $75,000 a year!

Position Responsibilities and Duties Sales, Quotas & Business Growth

- Consistently meet or exceed established daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Pursue qualified leads and move prospects through the full sales cycle from initial contact to conversion.
- Close current business by identifying client needs, presenting solutions, negotiating terms, and coordinating requirements through completion.
- Cross-sell legal services, including Real Estate, Wills, Estates, and Powers of Attorney, to existing clients and referral networks.
- Maintain ownership of assigned sales targets, pipeline activity, and overall business development performance.

Outreach & Strategic Partnerships

- Conduct consistent in-person outreach to prospective strategic partners and professional referral sources.
- Meet established weekly quotas for in-person office visits to potential partners, including mortgage professionals, lenders, MICs, financial institutions, insurance professionals, real estate brokerages, and other relevant organizations.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with B2B, B2P, and B2C contacts to support continued business growth and CLVE.
- Conduct follow-up meetings and nurture prospective partnerships through the full business development cycle.
- Document all outreach activity, outcomes, next steps, and follow-ups within the CRM.

Business Development & Market Strategy

- Conduct client,



prospect, competitor, industry, and market research to identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the legal industry, Mani Law Group services, and relevant market terminology.
- Identify new referral channels, strategic opportunities, and service areas that support firm growth.
- Provide management with feedback on lead quality, market trends, objections, and emerging opportunities.

Relationship & Pipeline Management

- Manage and nurture prospective clients, referral partners, and strategic relationships from initial contact through conversion.
- Maintain consistent and timely follow-up with all active opportunities.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline stages, follow-up dates, and conversion activity.

Events, Seminars & Lead Generation

- Represent Mani Law Group at expos, trade shows, third-party events, and professional networking opportunities.
- Manage sales booths and promotional displays at external events.
- Engage attendees, generate qualified leads, and complete timely post-event follow-up.
- Liaise with internal Marketing, IT, and support teams to maximize lead-generation resources and campaign effectiveness.

Performance & Reporting Meet with ownership/management weekly to review quota achievement, pipeline activity, conversions, and overall performance.

- Track and report on outreach activity, leads generated, opportunities, conversions, and revenue.
- Identify performance gaps and take corrective action to remain on target.
- Uphold Mani Law Group’s professional reputation through accountability, ownership, and consistent client service.

Additional Responsibilities: Support other business development, sales, partnership, client growth, or firm initiatives as required based on the evolving needs of Mani Law Group.

Qualifications and Other Requirements:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, Business Development, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, account management, or client acquisition.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
- Strong negotiation, objection-handling, and closing skills.
- Highly sales-driven, competitive, and results-focused.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable working in a KPI- and quota-driven environment.
- Strong organizational, follow-up, and time-management skills.
- Excellent technology skills in using all Microsoft Suite Software’s including, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel, Outlook, Google Chrome, etc.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to express ideas and procedures clearly and concisely; ability to work with highly sensitive information
- Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, sums, drop-downs, PivotTables, Macros, etc.




- Resides in close proximity to the office in Vaughan (preferred)
- Must have > 50 WPM
- Sales Conversion: Demonstrated ability to move qualified prospects through the sales funnel, overcome objections, negotiate effectively, and convert opportunities into closed business.
- Full-Cycle Lead Management: Proven ability to nurture client leads and manage opportunities from initial contact through follow-up, conversion, onboarding, and completion of the full sales cycle.
- Goal-Driven Focus: Their desire to hit targets and/or completed tasks/ assignment/ projects that outweighs any temporary hesitation or fear of social awkwardness
- Assertive Communication: They initiate conversations effortlessly and clearly articulate value propositions without sounding aggressive or pushy.
- Resilience to Rejection: They do not take "no" personally. Instead, they view objections as natural steps in the workplace to learn and perform better
- High Empathy: They are socially bold but highly perceptive, allowing them to read body language, actively listen, and adapt their pitch to the needs of team members or clients
- Natural Curiosity: They ask deep, probing questions to uncover pain points because they genuinely enjoy learning about people and solving problems.
- Unwavering Confidence: They project authority and belief in their service/product, which instantly builds trust and credibility with prospects and team.
- Effective communication involves conveying your message clearly, concisely and accurately with an advanced level of the English Language
- Technical Proficiency, must type a min of 50 words/minute and advanced in excel with MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel, Outlook, Google Chrome, etc.
- Must own a vehicle and have full access at all times
- Mandatory attendance at Company Annual Events

Work Schedule and Conditions:

- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with evening and weekend availability required as needed for client sales meetings, appointments, and business development activities.
- Sales Event Setup: Must be physically able and willing to independently set up and dismantle sales booths and event displays, including but not limited to tables, pop-up banners, signage, promotional materials, and related equipment.
- Sales & Networking Events: Must be available to attend and support in-house sales, networking, promotional, and corporate events as required, including assisting with event setup, prospect engagement, lead generation, and post-event follow-up.
- Must be comfortable sitting and speaking on the phone for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Daily pressure to meet outreach targets, handle objections, and convert leads into appointments.
- Regular meetings with direct manager to review weekly performance, lead quality, and conversion goals.
