Role Description

This is a full-time, in office Business Development Representative role based in Concord/Vaughan, Ontario.

As a Business Development Representative at PrimeFund, you will work directly with Canadian business owners seeking financing. You will be responsible for managing opportunities from the initial conversation through funding while developing relationships that can lead to repeat business and future renewals.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting a high volume of outbound calls, responding to new inquiries, following up with existing opportunities,

conducting discovery conversations to understand each business and its financing needs, and presenting appropriate financing options.

Representatives will also collect applications, bank statements, and supporting documentation; work with underwriting and funding partners to obtain approvals; present funding options to clients; handle objections; negotiate and close transactions; and maintain consistent follow-up throughout the process.

This is a high-volume, performance-driven sales environment. Representatives are expected to make approximately 120–150 outbound calls per day, consistently follow up with qualified leads, maintain an active pipeline, and work toward monthly sales and revenue targets.

You will be responsible for keeping accurate CRM records, managing applications and outstanding documents, tracking approvals and active deals, and developing long-term relationships with funded clients for renewals and additional financing opportunities.

Compensation

- Estimated annual earning potential: $50,000–$200,000+. This is primarily a commission-based position with uncapped earning potential. Compensation is directly tied to individual sales performance and revenue generated.
- High-performing representatives have the opportunity to earn well into six figures as they build their book of business and generate repeat business through renewals.
- A base salary may be negotiated based on relevant experience, proven sales performance, and previous MCA/alternative finance experience.
- There is no cap on commissions or earning potential.

Qualifications

- No university degree required.

We value sales ability, work ethic, communication skills, and performance over formal education.
- Strong English proficiency is required, both verbal and written.
- French proficiency is considered a strong asset.
- Robust inside sales and lead generation skills, including the ability to manage a high volume of outbound calls, follow-ups, and active opportunities.
- Previous experience in Merchant Cash Advance (MCA), alternative lending, business financing, financial services, or B2B sales is a solid asset.
- MCA experience is preferred but not required. We are open to motivated sales professionals who are willing to learn the business financing industry.
- Solid communication skills with the ability to speak confidently and professionally with business owners.
- Strong negotiation, objection-handling, and closing abilities.
- Comfortable working toward sales activity and revenue targets in a performance-driven workplace.
- Self-motivated, competitive, goal-oriented, and accountable for individual performance.
- Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to manage a large pipeline of opportunities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, on-site startup environment in Concord/Vaughan, Ontario.
- Experience using CRM systems and basic business software is an asset.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships with a focus on repeat business and renewals.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and desire to grow within the company.

PrimeFund is looking for individuals who are hungry, competitive, confident on the phone, and motivated by results. As an early-stage company with significant room for growth, strong performers will have opportunities to expand their responsibilities, grow their earning potential, and develop into more senior roles as PrimeFund continues to scale.
